Jason is a Principal based in WhiteHorse Capital's Toronto office. He is responsible for all key aspects of the investment process, including deal origination, transaction structuring & negotiating, and execution. Jason is focused on building WhiteHorse's portfolio of investments across Canada in the direct lending business.
Jason's career spans more than 20 years between New York and Toronto, with over two decades of experience in U.S. leveraged & sponsor finance and the North American debt capital markets across a broad range of industries.
Prior to joining WhiteHorse Capital, he was a Managing Director with AltaCorp Capital in Toronto. Before that, he was a Managing Director at CIBC World Market's New York office within their leverage & sponsor finance and capital markets groups, responsible for the origination, underwriting and distribution of revolving, first lien, second lien and mezzanine debt. Earlier in his career, he was a Director at CIBC World Markets mergers & acquisitions and corporate lending groups in Toronto.
Jason earned a B.Com (Economics) undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph and an M.B.A. from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
